They think that it is to many clicks to use the default incident form or incident process. In this blog post I will show you a solution to that, a way to create a new type of work items simple.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the Service Manager Authoring Tool<\/li>\n<li>Click File&gt;New<\/li>\n<li>Input a name, for example Contoso.QuickCalls<\/li>\n<li>In your new management pack, right-click classes and select Create Work Item Class&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>In the Create class window, input Contoso.QuickCall<\/li>\n<li>In the Class properties window, delete the default Property_10<\/li>\n<li>Click Create property and add a property named ClassificationCategory<\/li>\n<li>In the details pane of ClassificationCategory select Incident Classification as List Type (from the Incident Management Library management pack)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/contoso.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/QuickCall01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1832\" title=\"QuickCall01\" src=\"http:\/\/contoso.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/QuickCall01-300x245.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"245\" srcset=\"http:\/\/contoso.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/QuickCall01-300x245.jpg 300w, http:\/\/contoso.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/QuickCall01-1024x838.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/contoso.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/QuickCall01.jpg 1061w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In management pack explorer, right-click Form and select Create<\/li>\n<li>In the base class window, select Contoso.QuickCall<\/li>\n<li>In the Create Form window, input Contoso.QuickCall.Form as internal name<\/li>\n<li>On the form drag and drop the following items,<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1829\" title=\"QuickCall02\" src=\"http:\/\/contoso.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/QuickCall02-300x205.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"205\" srcset=\"http:\/\/contoso.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/QuickCall02-300x205.jpg 300w, http:\/\/contoso.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/QuickCall02.jpg 586w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Verify that you have\u00c2\u00a0a user picker, a textbox and a list picker and a couple of labels<\/li>\n<li>In the details field of each object configure the binding path according to\n<ul>\n<li>User picker &#8211; Affected User<\/li>\n<li>Text box &#8211; Description<\/li>\n<li>List Picker &#8211; ClassificationCategory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>On your list picker configure List Type to Incident Classification (Incident Management Library)<\/li>\n<li>Save you new management pack and import it into Service Manager<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>There are no views to show your new work item class so we need to create a view targeting the new class, and then we will also get a Create task for this work item class.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>After import of the management pack, navigate\u00c2\u00a0to work items<\/li>\n<li>Select\u00c2\u00a0Work Items and Incident Management\u00c2\u00a0in the navigation pane and select create view from the task pane<\/li>\n<li>In the Create View wizard input\n<ul>\n<li>Name: Contoso &#8211; Quick Calls<\/li>\n<li>Management Pack: Contoso.QuickCalls<\/li>\n<li>Search for objects of a specific class: Contoso.QuickCall<\/li>\n<li>Display: Create Date, Display Name, ID, Time Added<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click OK to save your new view<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Now to create a quick call select the new view, then click Create Contoso.QuickCall from the tasks pane.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/contoso.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/QuickCall04.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1843\" title=\"QuickCall04\" src=\"http:\/\/contoso.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/QuickCall04-300x296.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"296\" srcset=\"http:\/\/contoso.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/QuickCall04-300x296.jpg 300w, http:\/\/contoso.se\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/QuickCall04.jpg 863w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thats it!
